Problems with cd drive
15/05/2018 9:30
Hello all,I've searched on this topic, and found nothing that helped. I amusing SuSE 9.0, and whenever I try to put an audio cd in my CD-ROMdrive, I get the error messageCould not mount device.

The reported error was: /dev/cdrom: Input/output errormount: I could not determine the filesystem type, and none wasspecified I am NOT trying to mount the cd, I am simply trying to play it/rip andencode the tracks to .ogg format. It simply won't do anything. Itwill, however, read data CDs just fine. Neither grip nor KsCD willrecognize that there's anything in the drive.

I have checked /etc/fstab, and everything looks fine there.

What am I doing wrong? Many thanks in advance,Barbara

DataCD's do have a filesystem so that wil work just fine.
