Saving my Desktop

Help please.

When I change the icons arranged at the top of my desktop I click on the menu button and get a Pinboard menu and click on Save which allows me to save a file called Pinboard as <Choices$Write> Boot.Tasks.Pinboard.

But when I restart the computer I get back to the set of icons I had before. Very frustrating. In RiscOS 3.7 I worked out how to get round this I haven't yet found a way in RiscOS 4.39. In particular I cant find a file Boot.Tasks.Pinboard - or a directory called Boot.Tasks for that matter.

Can anyone help please? RogerH -- Roger Hird roger.hird@argonet.co.uk http://www.argonet.co.uk/users/roger.hird Running Voyager 2.07 and RISCOS 4.39 on an Acorn StrongARM RiscPC

However, the Pinboard menu's Save-> should work properly. If you examine [1] the 'Pinboard' file in the Tasks directory, does it contain the layout you tried to save? Do you still have an old 'Desktop boot' file or equivalent saved from the Task Manager previously that could be resetting your Pinboard back to how it used to be?
