Hi, I thought I'd upgrade my Mozilla browser from Debian woody version (1.?) tothe testing version (1.5-3).
apt-get ran, and seems happy, but when I try to run mozilla, I get nothingbut some disk activity. No errors, no nothing.
I apt-get removed mozilla mozilla-browser mozilla-mailnews and reinstalled,but it still doesn't work.
How do I attack this? TIA - Icebiker

Thanks!

Forgive my total ignorance in this area, I wish to coonect an Iyonix via its 100baseT port and via a 4-port 100baseT router to a pc.
I now have all the above. I have the Iyonix correctly connected to the router, that all works, I can get the Iyonix onto the internet.
What I don't know about is how to configure and use a network connection when I connect a PC to one of the remaining 3 100baseT ports of the router. WinXP home, I think should be able to figure something out, but I do not know .... read more

Ok, so the sound system works again, but I can only have one 'source'playing at a time. This is a bit of a bind when, for instance, listening to internet radio and trying to use Skype.
I've googled a fair bit on this and I think it's the alsa mixer, Idon't really know. The details are here http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=4b42197669de148cb1865a6c439e8000345203ec Anyone any ideas?

Does it make sense to backup the regsitry of an NT4 server, whether it's on a PDC or just a member server, in case it crashes and you need to do a rebuild? Thanks,- Ravi

I've just moved to XP from W98 and miss the utility in 98 where you couldstop various programs from starting at start-up. I now find that XP is so...
so.... slow to boot up and it seems I've got 1001 progs starting and I don'twant most of them, but how do I turn them off until I want them? MS Helptalks about managing the start progs from Control Panel, but that seems tome only to be the list of progs that comes in the drop-up menu when you hitStart.
Thanks Rob Graham

We wrote lots of scripts on the test environment and this all was ok.
But now we're trying the scripts on the production server and it allworks very slow.
For testing we copied the production db to the .... read more
